– Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan

Crazy Rich Asians is about a Chinese American girl, Rachel Chu, who gets invited to spend the summer in Singapore with her boyfriend and meet his family for the first time. What she doesn’t know is how crazy rich his family is and how much drama they are. The story pretty much revolves around the 1% of Asia’s elite. Basically from the moment I started reading this book I could NOT put it down!!! It was hilarious and just so far off from a normal person’s reality, which is part of the appeal. This book is intrigue and scandal plus money and opulence on a whole other level.  It was especially cool to recognize some of the names/places from the book when I was in Hong Kong. I can’t wait for the sequel!
